It is the second most wonderful time of the year, after Halloween of course, at Disnehyland. This, just like Halloween occurs in both parks. This runs through January 6th 2019. This year there is a special part of Christmas. It’s called Disney Festival of Holidays. This features sound and flavors of the holiday inspired by many diverse cultural traditions.
Besides that the special seasonal parties, culinary delights, music, and all the Character greetings, you will experience these great Disneyland treats:
- The Blue 13 Dance Company as they salute Diwali with Bollywood traditional dances.
- The group Mostly Kosher will celebrate a joyful Hanukkah.
- Christmas and Kwanzaa will be celebrated by The Sound with their wonderful acapella favorites. There is so much to just listen to.
Let’s talk about food for this season at Disneyland
At this event at Disneyland, It all revolves around food. At the Festive Foods marketplace you will discover a variety of foods from across the globe. These kiosks are throughout the park and serve:
- Small plates
- Incredible entrees
- Amazing drinks
- Mouth watering desserts.
If a sit down dinner is more your style, try Paradise Garden Grill. The holiday menu features Mexican specialties everyone will love.
After you have your fill of delightful food take a stroll to California Adventure Park to experience a beautiful tradition of the tree lighting. In the plaza by Elias & Co, watch how the tree brightens to life with swirling lights, fantastic ornaments, and miles of shiny garland. And let’s never forget the parade. Disney always puts on a great parade for everyone. Kids and Kids at heart will get to see dancing gingerbread cookies, marching toy soldiers, and magical reindeer. While you might not be frozen in Southern California, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf will still be there. At the end of the parade in true Disney magic, Santa makes an appearance. So gather everyone up for a truly magical experience.
