One of their more recent releases is the “Hellraiser – 7” Scale Action Figure – Ultimate Pinhead,” figure. As the name suggests, the figure is of the iconic character Pinhead, from the Hellraiser film series. According to the official NECA website, it’s also the latest addition to the NECA ultimates line. This figure is set to release in December 2019.
Taking a Closer Look
Firstly, this particular Pinhead figure features an all-new sculpt, along with many intricate details. One of the most noticeable details, is the array of pins sticking out from the head. In addition, there are a few torturous weapons hanging over Pinhead’s skirt. The skirt itself is made out of soft vinyl. Moreover, the figure comes with two different interchangeable heads; one depicts Pinhead with a neutral expression, while the other shows him in an open-mouthed scowl. Also, it includes both a closed and open version of the Lament Configuration puzzle box. Furthermore, the outer box has an opening flap, great for displaying Pinhead in-box. Clearly, this is a figure that’s suitable for every type of collector.
Personally, I think this figure looks absolutely amazing. From the pictures alone, the textures on the hands and face appear very detailed. They seem quite realistic as well. Additionally, the texture of Pinhead’s outfit is impressive; it looks really true to life. The blood effects are incredible, appearing to be actual streaks of drying blood. Last, but certainly not least, this figure’s coloring is on point and matches well with Pinhead.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I think this figure is going to be amazing. Everything about it seems to fit with how Pinhead is typically portrayed in the film series. So, if you’re looking for a quality figure of Pinhead, this seems like a great option. Personally, I can’t wait for this figure to come out!
